5 tablespoons of butter or margarine125 g
2 cups of milk400 ml
2 cups of wheat flour200 g
1 cup cocoa or cocoa powder90 g
1 tablespoon of baking powder14 g

In a bowl place the eggs, 1 cup of sugar, 4 tablespoons of butter and beat until you get a fluffy and light cream.
Add the cocoa powder, wheat flour, milk and beat until you get a smooth and homogeneous mass.
Add the baking powder and mix gently just until incorporated.
Grease a shape with a hole in the middle with butter or margarine, pour the dough and bake in a preheated oven at 180°C for 40 minutes.
For the syrup, in a pan put 1 cup of sugar and melt until caramelized.
Add 1 tablespoon of butter or margarine, 1 cup of milk and stir until it boils and all the sugar is dissolved.
Pierce the entire cake with a toothpick, pour the syrup over the cake, wait 15 minutes for the cake to absorb the liquid and serve.
