- Baking powder1 tablespoon

- butter or margarine1 tablespoon
- Before starting, wash the carrots, peel them and cut them into cubes;
- In a blender, place the oil and carrots;
- Beat for 1 minute;
- Then add the eggs and beat for another 1 minute;
- In a bowl or basin, pour the sifted wheat flour, sifted sugar and salt;
- Mix and pour the carrot that was beaten in the blender;
- Stir with the help of a fouet (wire whisk) or with a spoon, until it is very homogeneous;
- Finally, add the baking powder and mix gently;
- Pour this mass in a greased and infarinhada form;
- Bake in a preheated oven at 200ºC for about 45 minutes or until golden.
- Wait for it to cool and unmold.
- Syrup preparation method: In a pan, over low heat, melt the margarine and add the condensed milk;
- Mix and add the chocolate powder;
- Stir well until the mixture is very creamy and homogeneous (about 3 minutes);
- TIP: don't let it cook too long, so it doesn't turn into a brigadeiro.
- Turn off the heat and pour the syrup over the carrot cake.
