  • Salt1 to taste
  • Baking powder1 tablespoon

  1. Before starting, wash the carrots, peel them and cut them into cubes;
  2. In a blender, place the oil and carrots;
  3. Beat for 1 minute;
  4. Then add the eggs and beat for another 1 minute;
  5. In a bowl or basin, pour the sifted wheat flour, sifted sugar and salt;
  6. Mix and pour the carrot that was beaten in the blender;
  7. Stir with the help of a fouet (wire whisk) or with a spoon, until it is very homogeneous;
  8. Finally, add the baking powder and mix gently;
  9. Pour this mass in a greased and infarinhada form;
  10. Bake in a preheated oven at 200ºC for about 45 minutes or until golden.
  11. Wait for it to cool and unmold.
  12. Syrup preparation method: In a pan, over low heat, melt the margarine and add the condensed milk;
  13. Mix and add the chocolate powder;
  14. Stir well until the mixture is very creamy and homogeneous (about 3 minutes);
  15. TIP: don't let it cook too long, so it doesn't turn into a brigadeiro.
  16. Turn off the heat and pour the syrup over the carrot cake.
