- 2 carrots400 g
- 1 cup of orange juice200 ml
- 1 tablespoon of baking powder14 g
- 4 cups of wheat flour400 g
- Eggs5 unit(s)
- 3 cups of sugar480 g
- 3/4 cup oil150 ml
- 2 tablespoons of butter or margarine50 g
- 1 1/2 cup Nescau150 g
- 5 tablespoons of milk50 ml
- Place the chopped carrots, eggs, oil, orange juice in a blender and blend for 2 minutes.
- Pour the beaten liquid into a bowl, add 2 cups of sugar and mix well. Gradually add the wheat while stirring and finally add the baking powder.
- Grease a rectangular shape with butter or margarine, place the dough and bake in a preheated oven at 180ºC for 40 minutes.
- In a pan, place 1 cup of sugar, the Nescau, the butter or margarine, the milk, and bring to the fire, stirring constantly until it boils and thickens slightly.
- Pour the still warm syrup over the baked cake, cut into pieces and serve.
