Sugar - one and a half cups

Chopped raw carrot

Wheat Flour

Carrot Cake with Brigadeiro Syrup

No liquidificador junte os ovos, óleo, açúcar e cenoura e bata muito bem por cerca de 2 minutos .

In the blender add the eggs, oil, sugar and carrot and beat very well for about 2 minutes.

Passe a mistura do liquidificador para uma tigela e vá acrescentando a farinha aos poucos passando pela peneira e misturando delicadamente. Não precisa bater a massa, se desenvolver o glúten da farinha a massa vai pesar. 
Após toda a farinha incorporada, acrescente o fermento a massa e leve para assar em forma de 22cm de diâmetro untada, em forno pré aquecido a 180°c por 35 minutos ou até que o cheiro se espalhe pela casa. 
Faça o teste do palito furando o bolo para ter certeza que já está assado, o palito deve sair limpo. Aguarde pelo menos 10 minutos para desenformar.

Transfer the mixture from the blender to a bowl and gradually add the flour, passing through a sieve and mixing gently. There is no need to knead the dough, if the gluten in the flour develops, the dough will weigh down.
After all the flour has been incorporated, add the yeast to the dough and bake in a greased 22cm diameter tin, in a preheated oven at 180°C for 35 minutes or until the smell spreads throughout the house.
Take the toothpick test piercing the cake to make sure it's already baked, the toothpick should come out clean. Wait at least 10 minutes to unmold.

Para a calda:
Em uma panela média acrescente o leite condensado, meia caixa de creme de leite, o chocolate e a manteiga e misture bem. Leve ao fogo médio mexendo sem parar até encorpar, a calda deve ficar cremosa pois quando esfriar ficará mais consistente. 
Se sentir que passou do ponto e a calda ficou muito espessa pode acrescentar um pouco mais de creme de leite com o fogo desligado e misturar bem.
Despeje a calda morna sobre o bolo e pode servir! 

For the syrup:
In a medium pan add condensed milk, half a box of cream, chocolate and butter and mix well. Cook over medium heat, stirring non-stop until thickened, the syrup should become creamy because when it cools down, it will become more consistent.
If you feel that you have passed the point and the syrup is too thick, you can add a little more cream with the heat off and mix well.
Pour the warm syrup over the cake and serve!
