- Sunflower seeds1 cup
- Brown sugar1/2 cup
- Demerara sugar1/2 cup
- Water1/2 cup
- Vanilla essence1 coffee spoon
- Soak the seeds in filtered water for 1 hr.
- In a pan, place the water, vanilla essence, brown sugar and demerara sugar and leave it on the fire for about 10 minutes, until it thickens to the point of almíbar.
- Mix the almíbar and the hydrated seeds over low heat. Stir well until they absorb all the caramel.
- Place the seeds on a plate with parchment paper in the oven 150* for 10 minutes
