Apples with love in syrup

Lave e descasque as maçãs. Corte-as em 4 pedaços, retire o miolo/sementes, e coloque em uma vasilha com meio limão espremido e reserve.

Wash and peel the apples. Cut them into 4 pieces, remove the core/seeds, and place in a bowl with half a squeezed lemon and set aside.

Em uma panela grande coloque a água, o açúcar os cravos e mexa por uns 5 minutos. Acrescente as maçãs, dê mais uma mexida e deixe cozinhar por 15 a 20 minutos, agora só balançando a panela. Verifique se as maçãs estão macias e deliguei o fogo.

In a large pot, place the water, sugar and cloves and stir for about 5 minutes. Add the apples, give them another stir and let them cook for 15 to 20 minutes, now just shaking the pan. Make sure the apples are soft and turn off the heat.

Deixe esfriar um pouco, coloque em potes esterilizados ou em uma vasilha com tampa e leve para geladeira. Na hora de servir coloque em uma bela compoteira.

Let it cool a little, put it in sterilized pots or in a container with a lid and take it to the fridge. When serving, place in a nice bowl.
