- Pasta In a bowl, mix the flour, salt, sugar and yeast. Add the butter and NESTLÉ Cream of Milk and mix with your fingertips, until you form a smooth and homogeneous mass. Let it rest for 20 minutes. Roll out the dough on a clean surface sprinkled with wheat flour and line the bottom and side (forming a border of about 3 fingers) with a removable rim pan (25 cm in diameter). Pierce the dough with a fork and bake in a preheated medium-high oven (200°C) for about 20 minutes. Reserve. Roll out the rest of the dough forming a rectangle, cut into strips and set aside. Filling Cut the apples in half, remove the seeds and cut each half into five slices. Place the sugar in a large skillet and heat over low heat until caramelized. Add the butter, apples and cognac. Let it cook, stirring constantly, until the sugar clumps melt and the caramel thickens. Remove from heat, allow to cool and place over the baked dough. Distribute the reserved dough strips over the filling forming a braid, pressing the ends against the edge of the dough. Bake in a medium-high oven (200°C), preheated, for about 40 minutes or until golden. Let cool, unmold and serve next.
