  • Miso (fermented soy paste)1/3 cup
  • Boiling water2 cup
  • unsalted butter100 g
  • Salt (if needed, but I didn't add it because the miso is salty) to taste
  • Freshly ground black pepper to taste
  • Fresh thyme (optional) to taste
  1. Cut the peeled onions in half, lengthwise (from head to head). Mix the butter and miso in the hot water until dissolved. Toss over the sliced onions. I used an iron skillet, but you can do it in a refractory, as it goes in a preheated oven at 240 degrees for about 1 hour. Water the onions with the broth during this period. They are ready when the broth is creamy and the onions are lightly toasted on top. Start praying. Go for me 😉
