  • Cooked and shredded chicken fillet750 g
  • Rice noodles100 g
  • Homemade chicken broth2 l
  • Cinnamon stick1 unit(s)
  • Star Anise2 unit(s)
  • Large onion, finely sliced1 unit(s)
  • Chopped seedless pepper1 unit(s)
  • Chopped ginger (3cm piece)1 unit(s)
  • Bean sprouts100 g
  • Nam Pla fish sauce1 tablespoon
  • Soy sauce2 tablespoon
  • Sugar1 teaspoon
  • Chives and coriander to taste
  • Lemon juice2 tablespoon
  1. Place the chicken stock in a large pot with the cinnamon and anise and bring to a boil.
  2. Over low heat, add the onions, ginger, pepper, sugar and fish and soy sauces. Let it boil.
  3. Add the shredded chicken and leave for about 3 minutes. Remove the chicken and set aside.
  4. Strain the broth and remove all the ingredients (onions, cinnamon, pepper, star anise, ginger)
  5. Return the broth to the heat and add the lemon juice.
  6. Cook the noodles in boiling water for 15 min, drain and place in the bottom of the bowls where the Pho Ga will be served.
  7. On top of the pasta, distribute the shredded chicken, coriander leaves and bean sprouts.
  8. Pour the boiling broth over everything and garnish with the chives.
