Tapioca Dice with Pepperoni

Comece aquecendo o leite em uma panela.

Quando o leite estiver bem quente, desligue o fogo, adicione o queijo meia cura ralado e continue mexendo.

Agora acrescente o pepperoni picado em pedacinhos bem pequenos 

Em seguida coloque a farinha de tapioca granulada e continue mexendo.

Adicione o sal e pimenta do reino moída na hora a gosto.

Pare de mexer quando todos os ingredientes estiverem bem misturados e a massa homogênea.

Despeje em uma forma coberta com plástico filme, cubra em cima também e leve para a geladeira por duas horas.

Passado esse tempo, retire da geladeira, tire do plástico filme, coloque sobre uma tábua e corte em quadradinhos (dadinhos) de 2 x 2 cm. 

Para finalizar, frite aos poucos em óleo quente (200 graus) ou coloque no forno até dourar.

Sirva acompanhado da geleia agridoce que você preferir. 

DICA: geralmente as pessoas servem com geleia de pimenta, mas como o pepperoni já é apimentado, você pode servir com alguma geleia que não seja apimentada também. 

Start by heating the milk in a pan.

When the milk is very hot, turn off the heat, add the grated semi-cured cheese and continue stirring.

Now add the pepperoni chopped into very small pieces.

Then add the granulated tapioca flour and keep stirring.

Add salt and freshly ground pepper to taste.

Stop mixing when all the ingredients are well mixed and the dough is homogeneous.

Pour in a shape covered with plastic film, cover on top too and take it to the fridge for two hours.

After this time, remove from the fridge, remove from the plastic wrap, place on a board and cut into 2 x 2 cm squares.

Finally, fry slowly in hot oil (200 degrees) or place in the oven until golden.

Serve with your favorite sweet and sour jam.

TIP: People usually serve it with pepper jelly, but since pepperoni is already spicy, you can serve it with some non-spicy jelly as well.
