- Liquid milk + 5 drops of lemon or use yogurt210 g
- Baking soda1/2 tablespoon
- Butter70 g
- Raisins (optional) to taste
- Pinch of salt to taste
- Preheat the oven to 200°C
- Sift all the dry ones, add the liquid mixture. Do not knead the dough, just gather (compact). Place the dough on parchment paper or silicone mat. Make an X on top of the dough and bake for about 35 minutes.
- This bread is one of the oldest in the world! This method results in a soft, dense bread with a slight sour taste and a hard crust. Also, soda bread is a good way to use up whey that would otherwise be discarded as well.
