- Wheat flour | 1 cup
- Sugar | 1/4 cup
- Butter | 75 g
- Vanilla Extract | 1/2 teaspoon
- Butter and wheat flour for greasing and flouring | to taste
Recipe
- Preheat the oven to 180°C (medium temperature). Grease a large baking dish with butter and flour it with a little flour.
- In a bowl, combine the flour, sugar, butter and vanilla essence. Knead well with your hands until you form a smooth dough. Wrap the dough with cling film and let it rest in the fridge for 15 minutes.
- Divide the dough into 3 portions. Form a roll with each portion and cut into 1 cm thick slices. Transfer to the baking sheet, leaving about 0.5 cm between each one. With a fork, lightly press each cookie to score. Bake in the oven for about 25 minutes or until the cookies are lightly golden. Remove from oven, let cool before serving or storing.
