  • Eggs | 3 unit(s)
  • Wheat flour | 350 g
  • Vanilla essence | 1 coffee spoon
  • Yeast powder | 1 coffee spoon
  • Melted butter | 100 g
  • Sugar | 1 cup

Recipe

  1. To prepare this homemade butter cookie recipe, start by beating the butter with the sugar until it becomes a cream. You can do this with a spatula or an electric mixer.
  2. The next step is to add the eggs and vanilla essence. Keep stirring until they are completely mixed into the cream.
  3. Now add the flour and yeast sifted together, thus preventing lumps from forming in the dough. After mixing very well the dough should be very compact and easy to shape.
  4. For a better consistency of this homemade butter cookie, separate the dough into three parts, wrap in plastic wrap and keep in the fridge for 30 minutes.
  5. After that time, you can roll out the dough on the floured worktop and cut into the shapes you want. Preheat the oven to 180ºC.
  6. Place the homemade cookies on a baking sheet lined with parchment paper and bake for 15 minutes, or until golden.
