Oil (for frying)
Peel the potatoes and cut them into thin slices. (If you want, use a grater or mandolin to make them all the same thickness.)
Take a large pan with the 800ml oil over high heat to heat up.
When the oil is hot, fry the potato slices.
Line a plate with paper towels.
With a slotted spoon, remove the potatoes and transfer to a plate lined with paper towels.
Season with salt and serve next.
