Ingredients

  • Butter | 200 g
  • Sugar | 11/2 cup
  • Eggs | 04 unit(s)
  • Wheat | 21/2 cup
  • Baking powder | 01 tablespoon
  • Bicarbonate | 1 g
  • Milk | 1/2 cup
  • Orange juice | 01 cup
  • Orange zest | 02 tablespoon
  • Orange jam or compotq | 1/2 cup

Recipe

  1. Preheat the oven to 180 degrees, grease a round shape with butter and wheat flour, set aside.
  2. Mix the milk and orange juice and wait for it to curdle.
  3. Beat (I like to beat by hand) the butter and sugar until it forms a fluffy and whitish cream. 🍊Add the eggs, one by one, beating after each addition. 🍊 Add the wheat flour and stir slowly, mix well. Add the skimmed milk and mix well. A little kinkan jam (optional). 🍊Add orange zest, bicarbonate and baking soda. Mix well without beating.
  4. Put it in a shape (round or English cake if you prefer), let it bake for about 50 minutes until a toothpick inserted comes out clean. 🍊Draw while still warm.
