- milk (any)60 ml
- butter1/2 tablespoon
- salt1/8 teaspoon
- honey or cane molasses2 tablespoon
- beat the egg and mix well with the milk in a deep dish, add a pinch of salt here.
- heat a skillet over medium heat, melt the butter.
- Soak the slices of bread well in the egg and milk mixture and brown them on both sides in the pan.
- serve stacked with a little honey between the slices and a little more on top.
- if you don't have honey, you can use a mixture of cinnamon and sugar like we do in Christmas toast.
