Ingredients

  • Cornmeal | 1.1/2 cup
  • Wheat flour | 1 cup
  • Sugar | 2 cup
  • Egg | 2 unit(s)
  • Oil | 1 cup
  • Milk | 1 cup
  • Baking powder | 1 tablespoon
  • Pinch of salt | 2 g
  • Fennel |  to taste

Recipe

  1. Pre-heat the oven at 180 °.
  2. Place the eggs, oil, sugar and milk in a blender. Blend everything for 3-5 min.
  3. Place in a large bowl and add the cornmeal and wheat flour, stirring constantly with a whisk until the dough is homogeneous.
  4. Add salt, yeast and fennel seeds.
  5. Mix it all up.
  6. Grease a cake tin with a hole in the middle and pour the dough.
  7. Bake for approximately 30 min. or until the cake is completely baked.
  8. Tip: wait for the cake to cool down to unmold.
