- White corn flour (I used harina pan)300 g
- Fine salt to taste
- Black pepper to taste
- Oil1 coffee spoon
- Warm water220 ml
- Mozzarella cheese1 tablespoon
- Butter to taste
- Mix the salt, black pepper and flour in a container that allows you to add the water and mix the dough.
- Add the almost boiling water and the oil to the already seasoned flour and mix until the dough is homogeneous and unglued from the hands and the container.
- Shape the Arepas, traditionally they are circular in shape with a thickness of about 1 and a half fingers.
- In a very hot frying pan, put some butter and then place the Arepa already modeled, lightly fried on both sides like a bread on the griddle.
- After passing the Arepas on the hot plate, just open them in half and fill them with whatever you want.
