- Pick the beans, wash and cook for about 20 minutes or until al dente. Once cooked, place in a colander and set aside. Wash the cabbage, chives, chop separately and set aside. Wash the Sausage, Bacon and Ham. Chop the sausage into slices, the Bacon into smaller cubes and the Pernil into larger cubes, wash everything and let it drain. Put two tablespoons of lard or oil in the pan, let it warm up, put sausage and bacon, fry until soft, remove from the pan and set aside.
