- Start by peeling the onions and cutting them into slices about 5 mm thick, that is, neither too thin nor too thick.
- Heat the butter in a frying pan and, when it melts, place the onion slices without overlapping. Leave on low heat for about 5-7 minutes or until the onion is translucent.
- add the soy sauce and sugar and stir to mix and separate the onion rings. Leave on low heat for another 5 minutes.
- When the onion is very soft and caramelized, you can turn off the heat and serve.
