  1. Cut the onions into very thin rings. Separate the rings and soak in water with a drizzle of oil for an hour to remove the bitter taste from the onion. Beat the egg, mix in the milk and season with salt and oregano. Also season the wheat flour with salt and oregano. Dip the onion rings in the seasoned milk and then in the flour. Fry in hot oil without overlapping them and drain on absorbent paper. It's crunchy and wonderful.
