  • Rice2 cup
  • Lentils (soaked for 8 hours)1 cup
  • Water for rice4 cup
  • Chopped Onion1/2 unit(s)
  • Sliced onion for frying3 unit(s)
  • Turmeric to taste
  • Syrian Pepper to taste
  • Salt to taste
  • Olive oil to taste
  1. soak the lentils for a few hours or overnight.
  2. in a pan, sauté half a chopped onion, add the spices and salt and sauté as well.
  3. add the rice and sauté.
  4. add the lentil
  5. add the hot water and let it cook in the semi-covered pan.
  6. in another pan add plenty of oil or olive oil, enough to cover the entire bottom of the pan. Let it warm up.
  7. add the sliced onions and fry over medium heat. Be careful not to burn. When they are golden, remove from the pan and place on a paper towel-lined plate. Repeat this process until you run out of onions.
  8. serve the rice with lentils, cover with the fried onions.
