  • Tomato1 kg
  • Small beetroot1 unit(s)
  • Large onion1 unit(s)
  • Garlic head1 unit(s)
  • Shoyo sauce1 cup
  • Basil Sauce1 unit(s)
  • Green scented sauce1 unit(s)
  • Salt to taste
  • Water1 cup
  1. Chop the garlic into coarse slices and sauté together with the onion.
  2. Chop the tomatoes into 8 parts and add to sauté together with the onion and garlic
  3. Chop the beetroot into small cubes and add as soon as it starts to boil.
  4. Beetroot serves to reduce acidity and adds color
  5. Add a cup of water
  6. When it starts to boil, add the chopped green chilli, stir
  7. When it boils again, add the basil, stir
  8. When it boils again, add a cup of soy sauce
  9. Let it boil for 20 minutes, turn off and let it cool until lukewarm (around 30 minutes)
  10. Blend in a blender while it is warm
  11. I don't usually add salt, as it can be added to the dough recipe. But if you want to act as you like, this is the time
  12. Return to the pan to boil again for another 20 minutes and wait for it to cool before splitting.
  13. Ready to eat: This recipe makes approximately 2 liters of sauce, 10 200ml jars
