  • Milk (room temperature)1 cup
  • Instant Dry Organic Yeast5 g
  • Butter3 tablespoon
  • Salt1/2 tablespoon
  • Wheat flour4 cup
  • Mozzarella cheese200 g
  • Ham200 g
  • Gem for brushing1 unit(s)
  1. In a bowl, mix the sugar, egg, milk, butter, yeast and salt well.
  2. Add the wheat flour gradually (3 and 1/2 cups) and start to knead the dough, as the dough sticks to your hand, gradually incorporate the rest of the wheat flour. Knead for about 15 minutes (until the dough is smooth and coming off your hands.
  3. Cover the bowl with a dish towel and let it rest for approximately 1h30 (until the dough doubles in volume). After resting, roll out half of the dough on a clean and floured surface, place the slices of cheese and ham and shape as if it were a "baguette". Cut to form the Italians. Let it rest, in a greased shape with butter, again until it doubles in volume.
  4. Bake in a preheated oven at 200°C until golden.
