- Dough to taste
- Wheat flour1 cup
- Corn starch1 cup
- Very cold water1 cup
- Salt to taste
- Chopped chives to taste
- Yeast1 coffee spoon
- The first step of the crispy vegetable tempura is to prepare the dough. Add the ice water, flour and cornstarch little by little and the salt and mix lightly and finally the yeast.
- Meanwhile prepare the vegetables for the crispy vegetable tempura: peel the onion, carrot, zucchini and cabbage. Cut the ingredients into sticks or thin slices
- Take a pan with oil and, once it is very hot, dip the vegetables one by one into the dough and fry.
- Don't put too many vegetables in the frying pan at once, to avoid cooling the oil. Fry each one for 2-3 minutes and place, draining, preferably on a wire rack.
- Your crispy vegetable tempura is ready! Serve immediately as a starter or accompaniment to meat and fish dishes. Enjoy your food!
