- Wheat flour1/2 kg
- Sugar2 tablespoon
- Salt1 teaspoon
- Organic Dry Yeast (sachet)2 unit(s)
- Warm internet milk1 cup
- Margarine2 tablespoon
- Egg1 unit(s)
- Mozzarella200 g
- Ham200 g
- Onion to taste
- Tomato to taste
- Green pepper to taste
- Oregano to taste
- Heat the milk until lukewarm and set aside.
- In a bowl, mix with a spoon all the dry ingredients: flour, sugar, salt and yeast.
- Make a hole in the middle and add the warm milk, egg and margarine.
- Stir a little more with the spoon and transfer to a bench and knead for +/- 10 minutes.
- Place the dough in a sealed bag and let it rest for at least half an hour. If you don't have a bag, put the dough in the same bowl and cover with a damp dish towel.
- After the time, divide the dough in 2, open in the shape of a rectangle, make cuts on the sides in the thickness of a finger each strip.
- Stuff with mozzarella, ham and seasonings.
- Close the strips in the form of a braid (from right to left and left to right alternately).
- Repeat with the other half of the dough.
- Place them in a greased pan with oil and wait for the loaves to rise for about 10 to 20 minutes. In the meantime, preheat your oven to high heat.
- Brush the buns with egg and sprinkle with oregano or parsley.
- Bake until golden.
