- Wheat Flour350 g
- Sugar250 g
- Whole milk300 ml
- Juice of two lemons2 unit(s)
- Oil240 ml
- Eggs3 unit(s)
- Cocoa powder 50%60 g
- Cake yeast25 g
- Vanilla Essence1 tablespoon
- Start by mixing the lemon juice with the milk. Leave for 00:10 minutes.
- This process of making a homemade buttermilk will ensure a moister and softer cake and don't worry because the acid does not influence the cake's flavor.
- In a separate bowl add eggs and sugar beat a little, add vanilla essence, pinch of salt, oil and beat a little more
- Add the milk with lemon and wheat flour, stir a little more
- Finally the baking soda, move delicately. In a large greased shape, bake in a preheated oven at 180°C for approximately 00:45 minutes.
- When it cools down you can decorate it as I did with icing sugar and some cherries, or with a chocolate sauce if you prefer.
- Anyway, the cake is delicious and very soft!
