Bolognese pasta with bacon and pepperoni

  • Tomato extract/sauce1 to taste
  • Ground beef500 g
  • Bacon1 to taste
  • Pepperoni1 to taste
  • Onion1 to taste
  • Salt1 to taste
  • Olive oil1 to taste
  1. First, bring a pot of water to a boil.
  2. Usually 1 liter of water for every 100 grams of pasta and as soon as the water is bubbling, add a handful of salt and then the pasta to cook.
  3. Cook for about 8 minutes, stirring occasionally to release one from the other and the pasta to be “al dente”.
  4. Remove from heat, drain the water and set aside.
  5. Soon after, start preparing the tomato sauce with the ground beef.
  6. Put oil, onion and bacon and pepperoni to fry in a pan or skillet.
  7. Once the onion is translucent and the bacon bits and pepperoni are fried, add the ground beef to cook.
  8. Always stirring, cook the meat for five minutes over medium heat.
  9. Add the tomato sauce, season with salt and pepper if you prefer, and cook for another five minutes or until the sauce has thickened.
  10. Once the bolognese sauce is ready, toss it in the pasta and serve with grated Parmesan cheese (optional)
