- Ground beef (duckling or fillet cover)500 g
- Raw rice1 cup
- Oil1/4 cup
- Salt1 teaspoon
- Seasoning 7 peppers1 teaspoon
- Tomato Extract2 tablespoon
- Chopped Mint3 tablespoon
- Pickled Grape Leaf300 g
- Beef broth1 l
- Lemon1 unit(s)
- Loosen the grape leaves carefully as I show in the video and put them to boil just so they come away from each other.
- Separate the larger ones to line the bottom of a pan.
- Mix the meat, rice, oil, salt, 7 peppers, tomato paste and mint.
- Make the cigars closing well as I show in the video.
- Arrange in the pan very tightly one next to the other.
- Pour the beef broth with the lemon over the cigars. Put a weight on top. Cover the pan and after it boils, lower the heat and cook for 40 min.
- Pay attention to the broth, if it gets too dry, add a little more water during cooking.
- TIPS: 🔸Serve with fresh curds 🔸 ask the butcher to grind the meat 2 x 🔸 Makes 50 cigars (5 servings of 10) 🔸 for this amount of stuffing, the grape leaf can yields 2 times!
