Chicken with okra from Minas Gerais

  1. To prepare the recipe for chicken breast with okra from Minas Gerais, cut the breast into cubes and season with crushed garlic, paprika and black pepper. Book for 30 minutes in the fridge.
  2. Meanwhile prepare the okra: wash, dry well and cut into pieces. Put it in a pan with a little oil for about 20 minutes, stirring occasionally to release all the drool.
  3. At the end of this time, turn off the heat, wait for it to cool and strain, to reject the drool and oil and use only the okra, and reserve it on absorbent paper.
  4. In another pan, continue preparing this recipe for chicken with okra from Minas Gerais: put the chopped onion and sauté it in a little olive oil. When golden, add the chicken and fry well.
  5. Add salt, water until the chicken is covered, and cook half-covered for 20 minutes, or until the meat is tender.
  6. Add the okra, increase the heat and cook uncovered for 10 minutes, to soften. Rectify the taste with salt and black pepper and add the green smell.
  7. After the previous step, your chicken with okra from Minas Gerais is ready to serve! Serve with rice, beans and polenta. Enjoy your food! In my case, I made it with carrots sautéed in olive oil.
