- Softened butter or margarine400 g
- Sugar or xylitol sweetener1 cup
- Wheat or almond flour2 cup
- Vanilla Essence1 teaspoon
- Egg yolk1 unit(s)
- Nuts or ground almonds1/4 cup
- Icing sugar to taste
- It is important that the butter is softened at room temperature.
- Place the butter in a large bowl and add the sugar and mix well.
- Add the egg yolk and mix again
- Add the vanilla and mix well
- Add the flour little by little and mix with your hands until it forms balls, add more flour if necessary.
- Lastly, add the ground walnuts and mix well until smooth and a smooth biscuit dough.
- Pre heat the oven to 170 degrees
- Grease a rectangular shape with a little butter and flour or greased parchment paper
- Open the cookie dough with a rolling pin on a clean countertop or on top of parchment paper
- Mold the cookies with Christmas molds or as you prefer
- Take it to bake for about 15 minutes or until golden 😉 keep an eye out so it doesn't burn
- Wait for it to cool down carefully
- Sprinkle icing sugar over the cookies and you're done 😋
- Tip: you can use chocolate drops if you prefer or another type of nut
