- Refined sugar100 g
- Dry red wine1 l
- Spices such as star anise, cloves, cinnamon sticks to taste
- Lemon and orange zest to taste
- Put the wine in a pan and bring it to a boil.
- Add the sugar, spices and lemon and orange zest to the wine. Place the pears inside
- Cover the pan and cook the pears until tender, 20 to 30 minutes.
- Remove the pears from the wine and set them aside.
- The wine left in the pan should now reduce, until it forms an espresso syrup. Do it on low heat
- Serve the pears accompanied by ice cream or even alone, with a generous layer of wine syrup on top.
