  1. In a pan, add the butter, the cornstarch dissolved in the milk, the condensed milk and the egg yolks. Stir well over low heat until thickened. Do not stop stirring at any time to avoid lumps. Turn off the heat and add the cream. Stir well until the mixture is homogeneous. Separate a deep container and put some milk Soak the cookies in this milk until well moistened. On a platter, assemble the pavé as follows: cookies soaked in milk, cream of pavé, cookies, cream of pavé, cookies, cream of pavé (the last layer must be that cream of pavé) Finally, add the grated coconut on top of the pavé. Let it cool well, preferably overnight.
