  • Cinnamon Stick1 unit(s)
  • Cloves3 unit(s)
  • Water1 l
  • Demerara sugar3 tablespoon
  • Coconut milk300 ml
  • Cinnamon powder1 tablespoon
  • Grated dry coconut50 g
  1. Place the hominy inside a container. Cover with water and let it rest for at least 6 hours, or overnight.
  2. Then transfer the hominy to a pressure cooker, add the demerara sugar, cinnamon, cloves and 1 liter of filtered water. Cover and place over low heat.
  3. Let it cook for 40 minutes after getting pressure.
  4. Once cooked, remove the lid, add the coconut milk and mix well.
  5. Now just stir on low heat until you reach the desired point. Then serve garnished with cinnamon.
