  • Brown Sugar3/4 cup
  • Room temperature margarine1/2 cup
  • Eggs2 unit(s)
  • Cane molasses1/4 cup
  • Wheat Flour3 cup
  • Wheat Flour1/4 cup
  • Ginger Powder2 teaspoon
  • Baking soda1 teaspoon
  • Cinnamon Powder1/2 teaspoon
  • Nutmeg1/2 teaspoon
  • Salt1/2 teaspoon
  • Icing sugar3/4 cup
  • Milk4 tablespoon
  • Food coloring0 to taste
  1. Beat the sugar and margarine in a mixer until well mixed. Add the eggs and molasses and then the other ingredients, the flour last in the recipe, 3 cups of tea + 1/4 cup of flour. Cover and refrigerate for 1 hour.
  2. Roll out the dough on a floured surface to a thickness of 1/2 cm. Cut into the shape you want.
  3. Place in a greased baking dish and bake in a preheated oven at 180 degrees for 8 minutes or until golden brown.
  4. Let it cool on the grid and while it cools prepare the icing to decorate.
  5. Sift the icing sugar and add the milk little by little until you get the consistency you want to decorate the cookies - if you are going to make it colored divide into 3 trays and put the dye in different colors adding little by little until you reach the desired color.
  6. Put it in a pastry bag and decorate your cookies and leave it on the grid until the icing dries and firm and then just serve.
