Fluffy cornmeal cake with guava

Comece picando a goiabada e reserve. 
Pré aqueça o forno a 180°C e unte uma forma de 18 cm de diâmetro com manteiga e açúcar refinada (pode untar com o próprio fubá também) eu gosto do açúcar pq deixa uma casquinha deliciosa, brilhosa e crocante. 

Start by chopping the guava and set aside.
Preheat the oven to 180°C and grease an 18 cm diameter pan with butter and refined sugar (you can grease it with the cornmeal too) I like the sugar because it leaves a delicious, shiny and crunchy crust.

No liquidificador comece batendo bem os ovos, açúcar, leite e o óleo. Acrescente o fubá e bata apenas até encorporar.

In the blender, start beating the eggs, sugar, milk and oil well. Add the cornmeal and beat just until incorporated.

Numa tigela peneire a farinha e junto a mistura do liquidificador encorporando bem até que fique uma massa lisa e homogênea, acrescente o fermento e misture também delicadamente.
A massa fica bem cremosa, e essa textura mais densa,  "grossinha", é que vai sustentar os pedaços de goiabada sem que eles afundem.  

In a bowl, sift the flour and add the mixture from the blender, incorporating it well until it becomes a smooth and homogeneous mass, add the yeast and mix delicately.
The dough is very creamy, and this denser, "thick" texture is what will sustain the guava pieces without them sinking.

Transfira a massa para forma untada e coloque os pedaços de goiabada sobre a massa.
Leve para assar por 25 a 30 minutos. Assim que começar a perfumar a casa estará pronto, faça o teste do palito.

Transfer the dough to greased shape and place the guava pieces on the dough.
Bake for 25 to 30 minutes. As soon as you start to perfume the house, it will be ready, do the toothpick test.

Dicas: se quiser garantir por passar os pedaços de goiabada na farinha. Não faço esse processo e sempre dá certo, mas é uma dica que tbm funciona.
Esse bolo fica fofinho e úmido, só tome cuidado para não "assar demais" pq pode ressecar já que  dependendo do fubá ele tende ser mais sequinho mesmo.
Pode servir também com uma calda de goiabada que fica delicioso! 

Tips: if you want to guarantee by passing the pieces of guava in the flour. I don't do this process and it always works, but it's a tip that also works.
This cake is fluffy and moist, just be careful not to "bake it too much" because it can dry out since depending on the cornmeal it tends to be drier.
You can also serve it with a guava syrup that is delicious!
