  • Brown sugar1/2 cup
  • Pepper to taste
  • Guava cascao4 tablespoon
  • Water1/2 cup
  • Cinnamon powder to taste
  • Star Anise2 unit(s)
  • Water3 cup
  1. Clean the green fig and make an X-shaped cut at the bottom.
  2. Place in a pan and add brown sugar and 1 cup of water. Let it incorporate for 30 minutes. And if necessary, add water little by little. Let it cook. When the figs are soft, turn off the heat.
  3. Meanwhile, place the guava smudge in a pan, add 1/2 cup of water and add the pepper, cinnamon and star anise. Stir carefully until the guava is completely melted and becomes a cream.
  4. After having finished cooking the figs, on a plate make a bed of the guava cream and add the figs. Serve hot or iced.
