- A pinch of baking soda butter2 tablespoon
- Mix the milk with the sugar and the bicarbonate over medium heat, stirring constantly until it boils. Continue stirring until it thickens and the candy starts to turn light brown and pull away from the bottom of the pan (about 1 hour or so). Turn off the heat, let it cool a little and stir some more, which will make it even thicker. Grease a large surface with butter and pour in the candy. Let cool well and cut into pieces before serving.
