Em uma panela, coloque a água e o açúcar e deixe ferver bastante, até o açúcar dissolver completamente e a água ficar transparente.
Coloque o coco e vá mexendo de vez em quando em fogo médio, até a água secar bem.
Depois, acrescente o leite condensado e continue mexendo até começar aparecer o fundo da panela.
Depois é só colocar a cocada em um tabuleiro (ou em uma bancada de granito) levemente untada com manteiga.
Espere esfriar um pouco e vá moldando as cocadas com a ajuda de um garfo ou corte em quadrados com uma faca.
