- Recipe
- Sago250 g
- Coconut milk (200ml bottle)1 unit(s)
- Water200 ml
- Cane molasses*4 tablespoon
- Mango**1 unit(s)
- The recipe takes 4 hours to prepare because it has a lot of rest time!
- Start by letting the sago soak for 2 hours. After this period, drain well. Bring 2 liters of water to a boil and add the sago after boiling. Let it cook for approximately 25 minutes, stirring frequently to avoid sticking. The right point is when most of the balls are transparent (but many are still white inside, don't let too much 25 minutes go by or it will overcook). Drain, rinse under running water and set aside.
- For the sauce, add the coconut milk, the same amount of water and the molasses in a pan. Turn on the heat and stir well just until it boils. Add this sauce with the sago, put it in the desired container and take it to the fridge for another 2 hours (or until it gets cold).
- Cut the mango into cubes and place over your sago!
- * you can substitute with honey, coconut nectar or sugar. ** you can substitute the fruit of your choice: orange, banana, red fruits... get creative!
