Cortar as bananas maduras em rodelas. Pode ser utilizada banana de sua preferência.

Cut the ripe bananas into slices. Bananas of your choice can be used.

Numa panela colocar o açúcar e deixar derreter, mexendo bem para não queimar. Quando a calda estiver com cor de caramelo, colocar a água e deixar o açúcar derreter novamente.

Put the sugar in a pan and let it melt, stirring well so it doesn't burn. When the syrup is caramel-colored, add the water and let the sugar melt again.

Quando a calda estiver toda derretida, adicionar as bananas e deixar cozinhar bem. Mexendo com cuidado para não amassar as bananas cortadas. Caso todo o líquido seque, pode adicionar um pouco de água só para terminar o cozimento das bananas. Deslique a chama do fogão, quando as bananas estiverem cozidas. Espere esfriar e coloque numa travessa com tampa, para armazenar na geladeira.

When the syrup is all melted, add the bananas and let it cook well. Stirring carefully so as not to crush the sliced bananas. If all the liquid dries up, you can add a little water just to finish cooking the bananas. Turn off the flame on the stove when the bananas are cooked. Allow to cool and place in a serving dish with a lid to store in the fridge.
