- - 500g of ground meat (can be beef or pork)500 g
- - 1 small chopped onion1 unit(s)
- - 2 minced garlic cloves2 unit(s)
- - 1 egg1 unit(s)
- - 1/2 cup breadcrumbs2 cup
- - 150g sliced mozzarella cheese150 g
- - 150g sliced ham150 g
- - Tomato sauce (optional) to taste
- 1- In a bowl, mix the ground meat, onion, garlic, egg, breadcrumbs, salt and pepper. Mix well until you obtain a homogeneous dough.
- 2- Roll out the dough on a flat surface to form a rectangle.
- 3- Distribute the slices of cheese and ham over the dough, leaving a free edge at the ends.
- 4- Carefully roll the dough like a roulade, pressing it tightly so that it remains firm.
- 5- Place the roulade in a pan greased with oil or covered with baking paper.
- 6- Place in the preheated oven at 180°C for approximately 40 minutes, or until golden and cooked inside.
- 7- If desired, cover the roulade with tomato sauce before putting it in the oven.
- 8- Remove from the oven and let rest for a few minutes before cutting into slices.
